# Vibe Bomber

> Vibe Bomber is a multiplayer bomber party game that runs in the browser, built with the PlayCanvas engine. Up to 8 players drop bombs, break blocks and grab power-ups in an arena, and the last one standing wins the round.

Play at https://vibe-bomber.willmakes.tv/. There is nothing to install and no account: it runs in a desktop or mobile browser.

## How a match works

- Everyone starts in a corner of a grid arena, walled in by breakable blocks.
- A bomb goes off a few seconds after it is dropped, sending flames out in a cross. Flames break blocks and knock out any player they touch, including the one who dropped it.
- Broken blocks sometimes leave a power-up behind.
- The last player standing wins the round. The first to win 3 rounds wins the match.
- With a minute left, **Hurry Up!** starts and blocks drop in from the edges of the arena, closing it in.

## Power-ups

- **Extra bomb**: drop one more bomb at a time.
- **Bigger blast**: flames reach one cell further.
- **Speed**: walk faster.
- **Kick**: walk into a bomb to send it sliding.
- **Punch**: throw a bomb over the blocks in front of you.
- **Skull curse**: a random curse for a few seconds, which passes to anyone you bump into.

A player who is knocked out scatters their power-ups back into the arena.

5. **Bumpers: Seaside Funfair Pier**

## Ways to play

- **Private room**: create a room and share its four-letter code, or join a friend's room with theirs. The host sets up the match and can fill empty places with bots.
- **Practice with bots**: from the home screen, play a match against bots.

## Controls

- **Keyboard**: arrow keys or WASD to move, Space or Enter to drop a bomb.
- **Gamepad**: supported.
- **Touch screens**: an on-screen d-pad and bomb button.

## Customisation

Players pick a name, a body colour, a hat, emotes and a victory pose. Everything is unlocked from the start. The profile is saved in a cookie on the player's device, and nothing is stored on the server.
